Have you been struggling to just keep going? Struggling to push through another minute, hour in the day? Feeling lost and unloved? Depressed or confused at life? Don’t understand why you are experiencing all that you are experiencing and ready to give up on life?
Stop believing the lies the enemy has been whispering in your ear. You are more than enough! You are smart, strong and capable of changing your situation through Christ Jesus. It’s time to confront all the lies that have been swirling in your head. There is so much more inside of you and God didn’t create a person with no purpose! So speak out against those thoughts that keep tormenting your mind and body day in and day out.
I’ve had a series of major surgeries, four on my lower back and a few in other areas of my body. Due to this I was on high narcotic medication for my chronic lower back pain for over 11 years. In October 2020 I was blessed to receive my full healing. I am free of all pain meds and feel better than I have ever felt!
My prayer is that much revelation is shown as you reflect and grow as your most personal thoughts and experiences are journaled down in this workbook. Prepare to own your story! To speak life over yourself and walk in the purpose God has planned out for you!

Dealing with chronic lower back pain I dealt with depression, pain, limited ways of living, was wheelchair bound for a year, and lost my independence in life. I didn’t have the strength to keep going. I was ready to just give up and give in. Things just didn’t change for me and here I was going on 11 years of praying to God, asking to heal me but nothing changed for me. I didn’t know who I was anymore, including how to do the job I had being a mother and wife. But God, friend! Journaling my way through helped me hear from God. It encouraged me to keep pressing through as I awaited God’s healing over my life.

As you work through this journal remember not to rush through the prompts but truly take time to read over the prompts, let it marinate for a little and just write what comes to mind. I don’t want you to over think this but just journal everything that is coming to mind good or bad. Cry if you need to but jot it all down! At the end of each section I have shared a testimonial of things that have occurred in my life in hopes to give you a bit of a different perspective. Go back to your journal entries and add anything else that may come to mind as you reflect on your journal prompt answers and maybe the new perspective you received from my testimony. I want to make sure though you read the testimony when all the journal prompts have been filled out. Each prompt is created to be written in a day. Don’t answer all the journal prompt questions but just one a day. Allow yourself to start your day thinking of the question and write down what comes to mind. Then at night go back and see if you should be adding anything more to it. A tip I would love to share with you is as I was journaling, mind you I felt like I had no time in the world to do so, I took advantage every morning after I woke up and prayed I took a minute to read my journal prompt and take 5-10 minutes to write what came to me. I would then go get ready for the day but take my journal with me. If I had a quick break I would write down some more. Then before bed I would take another few minutes to write some more down. Now this wasn’t always the case until I committed to writing in my journal for a month straight. I had a conversation with my family sharing how I will be needing 30 minutes to an hour to myself everyday. Waking up prior to my family isn't always feasible so to help cover this I had a sit down with my family sharing as such. I set an alarm on my phone to make sure I was working on my journal at the same time everyday. I didn’t want to miss a day and for me this was a self care act so even more of a priority this became for me. A person cannot be consistent if you don’t first set your mind that you will do this, plan / set a time in the day you will do your journal everyday no matter what, and don’t allow any excuse to prevent you from doing your journal. This is a non negotiable self care act that you are implementing in your life.
